Donate Money

Without your support we couldn’t do the important work we do.
   • $10 will provide a nutritious 3 course meal for 1 person in need
   • $100 will provide a nutritious 3 course meal for 10 people in need
   • $250 will provide food for one cafe
   • $500 will ensure the running of our cafes for a week

Have you considered making a regular donation? Regular giving to Street Mission increases our impact on the local community and ensures that we can continue the amazing work we do to feed people in need. A recurring donation is easy to do – simply click Donate Now and select ‘make this a monthly donation’.

Donate Time

Volunteering provides a way to meet new people, learn new skills and gain experience, find new challenges and build a better society for everyone. There are a variety of ways you can donate your time to Street Mission.

To volunteer with Street Mission please apply to one of our available volunteer positions listed below. Most volunteer positions require a regular commitment on a weekly basis.

 Kitchen Volunteer
Join us as a volunteer in one of our Street Mission cafes at Dee Why (Wednesday nights) and Balgowlah (Saturday nights). As a kitchen volunteer you’ll be involved in the preparation and service of our meals, and have the opportunity to engage with our clients.

 Revenue Collector
Our revenue collectors can be found wearing our iconic Street Mission t-shirts on the streets of the northern beaches and surrounding areas. As a revenue collector, you will be our presence in the community.

 Donation Collector
We rely on our donation collectors to pick up donations from our generous donors and deliver them to our cafes.

 Operations Coordinators
Running services across different locations wouldn’t be possible without our café coordinators who ensure our cafés are adequately resourced each night to prepare and serve freshly cooked meals.

Food Drive

Running a food drive for Street Mission will help us feed our community’s needy. Your office or school can help us provide our clients with take home goodies to ensure access to a meal between cafes. We accept donations of canned (with ring pull) and packaged foods within use-by date, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

We’ve created a list of items that our clients love to receive:

   • Fresh fruit and vegetables
   • Pasta, rice, and cereals
   • Canned fruit, vegetables and legumes
   • Canned proteins such as tuna, salmon and chicken
   • Long life milk
   • Biscuits and crackers
   • Long life juice
   • Dried fruits
   • Packaged nuts
   • Canned or long life meals

Supermarket gift cards are an alternative way to supplement Street Mission’s food bill as most of the food served in our cafés is purchased on a service-to-service basis.

Organise a Fundraising Event

Fundraising events are a great way to bring together friends, families, workplaces and communities. Why not enter a charity run, host a quiz night, or hold a charity auction to help Street Mission raise funds to keep our kitchens running?
