The Burdekin Association Inc is a community-based not-for-profit organisation established in 1981. Their primary aims are to prevent youth homelessness and reduce family breakdown on the Northern beaches and the greater Northern Sydney area. They do this by providing a range of quality accommodation, care and support services to young people and families experiencing difficulties which may lead to youth homelessness. Street Mission finances a starter kit for those young people aged 16 - 21 moving into the Youth Housing program. These kits include a basket of basic healthy food items as well as cooking, cleaning products and toiletries. The Street Mission kits are a most welcome assistance service to the young people. |
